The city of Pisa slowly returned to normal in the fifties after the long and difficult post-war period. The reconstruction of the city was completed during that decade after the damage caused by the bombing and the historical center has acquired the current appearance. Even in Pisa the customs and ways of life change against the backdrop of major international events; politics returns to the foreground and the rebirth concerns institutions such as the University where the choices that project it into the future were made. The Pisans rediscover free time, beach holidays and sport as documented by the images of the Pisan historical photojournalist Luciano Frassi.
After the one on Sessantotto, Palazzo Blu organizes another exhibition curated by Giuseppe Meucci and Stefano Renzoni and based on the archive images of Luciano Frassi, a historical photojournalist from Pisa. The main protagonist is the Fifties with over one hundred images that describe the everyday life, the politics, the university and the choices that project it into the future, and the rediscovery of the sea and sport.
