The exhibition that has now become an essential appointment of the Pisa Book Festival , opens on Wednesday, 6 November at 6.30 p.m. The evocative illustrations by Vincenzo del Vecchio taken from the Terraneo book, written in collaboration with Marino Amodio, will enrich the already eventful exhibition offer of Palazzo Blu from 7 November to 9 February. The visionary book of the two young architects tells of a mythical island, called Terraneo, dotted with fascinating cities boasting a millenary history such as Gibraltar, Venice, Istanbul, Cairo … 15 ink tables, some coloured in digital, will be exhibited, as usual, in the room on the ground floor of Palazzo Blu, open with free admission to all fans of illustration and mythology, young and old, and dreamers of all ages.
Vincenzo Del Vecchio and Marino Amodio will be present at the inauguration on Wednesday, 6 November. The book, published by Gallucci, is already available at the Blu Book bookshop.
At 7.00 p.m. on Thursday, 7 November, at the Palazzo dei Congressi, Sala Pacinotti, Vincenzo Del Vecchio and Marino Amodio will be at the Pisa Book Festival for a meeting with Giorgio Bacci (University of Florence) entitled “Terraneo: the myth of the Mediterranean and its peoples interpreted by Vincenzo Del Vecchio and Marino Amodio”. Everyone is invited to participate, admission is free.
